About Us
Biscuit's Books brings a unique perspective to the field of Maine-based children's tales. Born and raised in Maine, we're able to appreciate the State 'O Maine as only a native can: we've been in Sal's blueberry field as a child, we've spent many summer nights in Mr. Magee's camper and we've visited the Zuckerman farm and seen Wilber's pen firsthand.
Now, as parents ourselves, who live "away", we know through our own children the excitement of a Maine vacation and can finally understand what brought those out-of-staters back to our backyard year after year while we were growing up. We can share the excitement of "Counting Our Way" as we leave Boston and have to make the inevitable potty break in Kennebunk before continuing on to the adventure that awaits. It's fun to read about Andre in the dead of winter...with the promise that once spring has sprung and the summer is in full bloom, we'll be able to introduce our own brood to his hometown and have photos of them climbing over the statue...just as our own parents have photos of us doing the same.
